Citroen UK Announces its Car Scrappage Scheme

he Government Scrappage Scheme announced by Alistair Darling in his April Budget has now taken effect and CITRO?N wholly support this initiative. New vehicle customers with a qualifying old vehicle registered on or before 31st August 1999 can now qualify for the following support (please note that the CITRO?N Scrappage Scheme allowances detailed below include ?1,000 (non-Vatable) Government Scrappage Subsidy funded by the Government):

? Cars
o New car customers with a qualifying old vehicle are eligible for a minimum of ?2,000 Scrappage
allowance across all new cars, and even ?3,000 on C4 1.6 Hdi 92hp Airdream+, Grand C4 Picasso
1.6 THP EGS Exclusive, C5 & C6 models.
o In many cases the Scrappage allowance is offered in addition to existing CITRO?N new car deals
meaning participating dealers can offer C4 and Xsara Picasso models from just ?7,995*.

? Vans
o New van customers with a qualifying old vehicle are eligible for ?2,000 Scrappage allowance across
all new van models.

Should your part-exchange vehicle not meet the Government Scrappage criteria but be registered prior to 2005 then you may still qualify for additional support under the CITRO?N Trade-In Incentive scheme. This scheme offers up to ?1,000 Trade-In incentive against your old car when purchasing from a selection of models within our new car range. This Trade-In support is offered in addition to existing CITRO?N new car consumer offers (excludes Scrappage Scheme cashback) and the dealership valuation of your part-exchange vehicle. The following support is available under this scheme:

? ?1,000 Trade-In Cashback ? to customers with a vehicle registered before 31st December 2002. (Unlike the Scrappage Scheme there is no obligation to scrap these vehicles).

? ?750 Trade-In Cashback ? to customers with a vehicle registered 1st January 2003 ? 31st December 2004. (Unlike the Scrappage Scheme there is no obligation to scrap these vehicles).
