CEB Adds Flights To Mindanao; Offers Davao Hub Sale As Low As P499
Also offers Bangkok seat sale from Manila and Clark
The Philippines’ largest airline, Cebu Pacific (CEB) announces a ‘Go Lite’ seat sale as low as P499 for its flights from its Davao hub. The sale period is from August 6-9, 2010, for travel this October 1-31, 2010.
Guests can avail of P499 ‘Go Lite’ seats from Davao to Cagayan de Oro, and P799 ‘Go Lite’ seats from Davao to Cebu, Iloilo and Zamboanga.
This is to boost CEB’s operations to key cities in Mindanao, as it is set to add more flights. Starting October 27, flights from Manila to Cagayan de Oro, Pagadian and Davao will be increased. The same goes for the airline’s Cebu-General Santos route starting November 24, 2010.
Meanwhile, flights from Cebu and Davao to Zamboanga will be upgraded from a 72-seater ATR 72-500 aircraft to a 156-seater Airbus A320 aircraft starting November 24, 2010.
“Aside from the Davao hub sale, CEB is also promoting its P1,499 ‘Go Lite’ seat sale from Clark to Bangkok, and P1,999 ‘Go Lite’ seat sale from Manila to Bangkok. Since this is also for October travel, we are hoping to tap business and leisure travelers to Bangkok,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.
Those with check-in luggage will just add P100 upon booking. Passengers will then get 15 kilos free baggage allowance (FBA) on any flight, except Boracay (Caticlan), which only allows for 10 kilos FBA.
Iyog said guests who wish to book flights and tour packages can do so via www.cebupacificair.com or http://funtours.cebupacificair.com or reservation hotlines (02)7020-888 or (032) 230-8888. The latest updates can also be found at cebupacificair on Twitter or Facebook.
Based on Civil Aeronautics Board data, CEB overtook Philippine Airline’s passenger numbers in the first quarter of 2010, making it the largest airline in the Philippines. CEB is also set to launch direct Manila-Brunei flights on August 21, 2010, and Manila-Beijing flights on September 5, 2010.
